in response to Schmidty...   Here is something Iam sure you are old enough to remember. I n the early seventies they had what was called, low cost or no profit insurance for essential services like medical. That ment that medical insurance was easily affordable for even the poor. Doctors did not have to carry millions of dollars worth of insurance. Then, the arch criminal Nixon came along and allowed the insurance companyies to realy start to screw over the american public. Not many remember how this was. So this was a safety net that was affordable by all. We have yet again to look no further than corporate criminals and political terrorists to know that thy are responsible for the high cost of medical treatment and the high cost of insurance. I have a friend that faught the hosbital for seven years over a wrongful death case. She and her son got second rate treatment, even a mongrel mutt would have gotten better treatment. Because she had no insurance, they procrastinated too long and as a result her son died. Aftver seven years she finaly gets 30,000...a very small percentage of what her lawers and the courts received. Of course she had no insurance because she is poor. The insurance companies as well as the government is just as guilty for the death of her son as the hosbital. Then of course all the drug companies jumped on the wagon. Do you remember when most all of your prescribed medications were inexpensive for the most part. Most all of the medicines that got prescribed like antibiotics, sedatives, opiates ect. were affordable by almost everyone. On the street you could get a jar of 1000 pills of almost any kind you wanted for 100 dollars. This shows you the real value of these pills that you are now charged 40 and 50 dollars for 35 or 40 pills. These medications were invented here and of all placs should have remained cheap and affordable. What they have done is legal extortion, the have taken an esential service and are useing it to plunder America.

in response to Schmidty...   I think the reason why these foundations do not help people in real need is that they do not further their agenda. Sponsoring a worthless study group connected to a certain college that they went to perhaps, that way their cronies get the glory, and the dollars. Forget the fact that all it realy did was line the pockets of these bootlickers and helped no one in need. As usual it is who you are connected with and what you can do for them. These large foundations have a sterling reputation, but like you remarked, they are not interested in helping those truely in need.
        Elected officials

Posted in berserker on Oct 28, 2011

I have tried several times over the years, expecting nothing, to contact my local congressman or representitive in my area. I never once actualy got to talk to the (elected official) but got plenty of double talk from underlings and other assorted boot lickers. I was asking for a simple method of contact for grants at any level, state or federal. Some simply said they did not have that information. others paid lip service with false sympathies. The truth is, i am basicaly a non entity of no importance to them. I am not even a (useful idiot) their own term for the general voting public. The grants seem to be geared for those skilled in legal double talk and those with certain kinds of sponsors that i am sure makes the process go smothly. there is nothing for the common poor that want to work or improve or prosper. Now these political villians, thieer main job is supposed to be managing our prosperity not on a personal level but by making opportunities known and helping you to get there. Instead you get nothing but a slow eroding year by year of the fools you have voted into office. The opportunities are not for the privalged few, they are suppose to be for those in need of aid, not those that are already bloated with plunder taken from the public. So, stop voting these monsters in year by year. Stop thinking you have the lesser of two evils as a choice, that is no choice at all! Object by not voting them into office! The choices are not acceptable! How much more of the same thing do you want? Do not give them the power to take your prosperity any longer. If everyone checked the box...none of the above then all those candidates should be banned from any public elected office permanently! The majority have said they are not wanted to manage this country. Get accountability, have strict punishments for any skullduggery. Tear down the corporate felons and millitary industrial complex. Stop letting corporate America plunder your castle. None of this is likely to happen, they have dumbed down the public so much that many think their actions are good, they convince you of it if it takes them thirty years to do so. At one time it was shamful to be in debt, as soon as they had most thinking that if you didnt have debt you needed financial punishment, then they gave people houses with no money down, taught that the more debt the more things you could have. then they yanked the carpet out from under many. Only those that never beleived in debt didnt loose everything. Look what they did when katrina struck even those with a 1 credit they froze their credit cards so no one could get plane tickets. They did this because they knew that many would not be able to pay their cards off. So bury your moeny do not trust banks, hide your gold. Now I will be labeled a kook, but that is what most did all the way up to the early sixties. Banks have a bad track record of screwing you, but people just continue to do the same thing. Who got bailed out? the corporate criminals themselfes..Who recieved no help? why, the fleeced public of course

There seems to be plenty of grants for things such as...the foundatiuon not to grow wheat. Lots of agro substity style of grants. in other words large farms getting paid not to produce. Trying to narrow it down to what an individuals needs are is very difficult. Finding the government agencies was easy, but from then on just confusion and a maze like string of paths that you are never sure about. These grants just do not seem to be for the ordinary low income person, but rather those that have lots of savy in government red tape and know perhaps it is easier, and more profitable to charge for the info and that is all. I suppose one would have to study for at least one year with associated classes to even begin to understand how some of it might work. I am sure there is some kind of formula to use in some cases that opens doors. I am a navy veteran, one would think i would have at least some what of an easier time than others, but no. There seems to be no simple straight forward path to get a grant, none that I could find anyway.

in response to Schmidty...   There does indeed apear to be real government grant websites. they seem to be targeted to select individulas. Being a veteran, and very low income does not seem to fit into what ever agenda they have, such is my case. All the rest of the pay for the info is just trash and all should be criminaly charged. Their criteria is a mystery I have never ben able to figure. Good luck
